1Acceptance of these terms

By accessing the website, creating an account, making a donation, completing a purchase, subscribing to communications, or participating in an offering, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and our:

• Website Disclaimer;
• Privacy Policy;
• Donations, Purchases, and Payment Disclosure;
• Refund Policy; and
• Any additional terms displayed for a particular product, course, membership, event, or service.

If you do not agree, do not use the website or its offerings.

2About Misfit Ministries

Misfit Ministries is an Arizona-based religious ministry operating pursuant to Section 508(c)(1)(A) of the Internal Revenue Code. Misfit Ministries exists as a global movement devoted to helping people move beyond indoctrinated, dogmatic religion and toward spiritual awareness, personal responsibility, freedom, and transformation.

3Religious & educational purpose

The website provides religious, spiritual, philosophical, inspirational, and educational content. Misfit Ministries challenges religious institutionalism, fear-based teachings, shame, control, spiritual performance, and what we refer to as “churchianity.” Our purpose is not to attack Christ, Christianity, individual believers, or any particular faith community.

Our teachings represent our interpretations and viewpoints. You remain responsible for evaluating the content, conducting your own research, and making your own decisions. Nothing provided through Misfit Ministries constitutes medical, mental-health, legal, tax, accounting, financial, emergency, or other licensed professional advice.

4Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to make a purchase, establish a paid membership, or enter into another financial agreement through the website. Individuals under 18 may use freely available content only with the knowledge and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

By completing a transaction, you represent that:

• You are legally authorized to enter into the transaction;
• The information you provide is accurate;
• You are authorized to use the selected payment method; and
• Your use of the website complies with applicable law.

5Donations & purchases are different

Misfit Ministries maintains two distinct payment pathways:

1. Voluntary donations supporting the ministry; and
2. Purchases of books, courses, memberships, events, merchandise, downloads, or other products and services.

A donation is a voluntary contribution for which the donor generally receives no goods or services in return. A purchase is a payment made in exchange for a specified product, service, program, access right, or item of value.

Purchases are not automatically charitable contributions and should not be claimed as tax-deductible donations unless Misfit Ministries expressly identifies a deductible portion in writing.

Donations and purchases may be subject to different receipts, cancellation rules, refund policies, and tax treatment. Additional information appears in our Donations, Purchases, and Payment Disclosure.

6Donations

Donations are voluntary and support the religious, spiritual, educational, outreach, content-production, technological, administrative, and operational activities of Misfit Ministries. Misfit Ministries retains discretion and control over donated funds, subject to applicable law and any restriction expressly accepted in writing.

Donations are generally nonrefundable except in circumstances involving duplicate charges, unauthorized payments, processing errors, or when required by law. Questions concerning donations should be sent to talktous@misfitministries.com.

7Purchases

Prices, product descriptions, course features, membership benefits, availability, and applicable fees will be displayed at or before checkout. By submitting a purchase, you authorize the stated charge, including applicable taxes and disclosed fees. Misfit Ministries may:

• Correct pricing or description errors;
• Refuse or cancel fraudulent or unauthorized transactions;
• Limit quantities or account access;
• Change or discontinue an offering before purchase; and
• Issue an appropriate refund when Misfit Ministries cancels a paid offering.

8Books & physical products

Books and physical products may be sold directly or through third parties such as Amazon, Audible, publishers, retailers, or fulfillment providers. Third-party purchases are governed by the seller’s terms, shipping policies, return policies, and privacy practices. Misfit Ministries is not responsible for a third party’s inventory, pricing, processing, delivery, or refund decisions.

Product images and descriptions are provided for general reference. Minor variations may occur.

9Courses & digital materials

Courses, recordings, downloads, transcripts, workbooks, and other digital materials are licensed for the purchaser’s individual, personal, noncommercial use unless otherwise stated. You may not:

• Share account credentials;
• Provide course access to another person;
• Copy, reproduce, record, distribute, or resell course content;
• Upload materials to another website, platform, artificial-intelligence system, or file-sharing service;
• Use materials to create a competing course, book, program, or service; or
• Remove copyright, trademark, or ownership notices.

Course access may be provided through LearnWorlds or another third-party platform. You may be required to accept that platform’s separate terms and privacy policy. Misfit Ministries may update course content, instructors, schedules, delivery methods, or supporting resources when reasonably necessary, provided the fundamental nature of the purchased offering is not materially misrepresented.

10Memberships & recurring purchases

A paid membership or subscription may provide access to specified content, courses, communities, meetings, resources, or other benefits. By selecting a recurring purchase, you authorize automatic charges at the price and frequency displayed during enrollment until canceled.

You may cancel future renewals through the method provided in your account or by contacting talktous@misfitministries.com. Cancellation stops future renewal charges but does not ordinarily refund a membership period that has already begun. Misfit Ministries will provide notice of material pricing changes when required by law.

A paid membership is a purchase and is not automatically a charitable donation. Voluntary donations must be made separately through the donation pathway.

11Refunds

Refund eligibility is governed by the Refund Policy displayed on the website and any offering-specific terms shown during checkout. Different rules may apply to physical products, digital products, downloaded materials, courses, memberships, consulting, and event admission.

Digital materials, substantially accessed courses, completed services, and expired event tickets may be nonrefundable except where otherwise stated or required by law. Refund requests should be sent to talktous@misfitministries.com.

12Accounts & security

Certain offerings may require an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and current information;
• Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials;
• Notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access;
• Accept responsibility for activity conducted through your account; and
• Avoid allowing another person to use your account.

Misfit Ministries may suspend or terminate an account reasonably believed to be compromised, shared improperly, used fraudulently, or operated in violation of these Terms.

13Email & electronic communications

When you join an email list, register for an offering, donate, purchase, or contact us, you consent to receive transactional communications reasonably necessary to administer that interaction. Marketing communications will be sent when permitted by law. You may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the link included in the message.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent necessary transactional messages concerning purchases, donations, account security, cancellations, or policy changes.

14Community standards

If the website provides comments, groups, live discussions, membership forums, or other interactive features, you agree not to submit or distribute content that:

• Threatens, harasses, abuses, or unlawfully discriminates against others;
• Is defamatory, fraudulent, deceptive, or unlawfully invasive of privacy;
• Exploits or endangers a minor or vulnerable person;
• Contains malware, spam, unauthorized advertising, or malicious code;
• Infringes intellectual-property or other legal rights;
• Includes another person’s private information without permission;
• Encourages violence or unlawful activity; or
• Materially disrupts the community or interferes with its intended purpose.

Misfit Ministries may moderate, refuse, remove, restrict, or preserve user content when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect participants, comply with law, or maintain the community’s purpose.

15User-submitted content

You retain ownership of original content you submit. By submitting content for publication or sharing within an interactive feature, you grant Misfit Ministries a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, format, and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate the feature or provide the requested service.

You represent that you possess the necessary rights and that your content does not violate applicable law or another person’s rights.

Do not submit confidential medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or highly sensitive information through general forms or public community areas.

16Intellectual property

Certain names, trademarks, service marks, books, written works, teachings, videos, course materials, graphics, branding elements, and other intellectual property displayed through the website are owned by Peterson Companies, LLC, a Kansas limited liability company, and are used by Misfit Ministries under license. Other materials may be owned directly by Misfit Ministries or licensed from their respective owners.

Except for limited personal use expressly authorized by these Terms, you may not reproduce, republish, sell, distribute, modify, record, scrape, train an artificial-intelligence system with, or incorporate protected material into another product or service without written permission from the applicable owner. No ownership interest is transferred to you through website access, a donation, a purchase, course enrollment, or membership.

17Copyright complaints

If you believe content on the website infringes your copyright, send a written notice to talktous@misfitministries.com containing:

• Identification of the copyrighted work;
• Identification and location of the allegedly infringing material;
• Your name and contact information;
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized;
• A statement that the information supplied is accurate; and
• Your physical or electronic signature.

Misfit Ministries may request additional information before acting.

18Third-party services & links

The website may use or link to WordPress.com, Stripe, GiveWP, Donorbox, LearnWorlds, Amazon, Audible, YouTube, Vimeo, email platforms, social networks, analytics providers, and other third-party services. Misfit Ministries does not control third-party availability, security, content, privacy practices, products, or policies.

Your use of a third-party service is subject to that provider’s terms. A link or integration does not necessarily constitute endorsement of every statement, product, or activity associated with the third party.

19No guaranteed results

Misfit Ministries does not guarantee spiritual awakening, personal transformation, healing, happiness, financial improvement, relationship success, professional advancement, audience growth, or any other particular result. Testimonials and personal stories represent individual experiences and are not promises of typical or guaranteed outcomes.

You remain responsible for your decisions, actions, beliefs, relationships, health, finances, safety, and well-being.

20Website availability

Misfit Ministries may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any portion of the website when reasonably necessary. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free availability. Maintenance, technical failures, third-party outages, security events, legal requirements, or circumstances beyond our control may interrupt access.

21Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Misfit Ministries disclaims warranties not expressly provided in writing, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and noninfringement. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

22Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Misfit Ministries and its founders, leaders, employees, volunteers, contractors, licensors, contributors, and representatives will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential losses arising from use of the website or its offerings.

Where liability cannot be excluded, total liability associated with a paid offering will not exceed the amount you paid directly to Misfit Ministries for the specific offering giving rise to the claim during the preceding 12 months.

This limitation does not apply where prohibited by law.

23Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Misfit Ministries and its leaders, employees, volunteers, contractors, licensors, and representatives from claims, damages, liabilities, and reasonable expenses arising from:

• Your unlawful use of the website;
• Your violation of these Terms;
• Content you submit;
• Your infringement of another person’s rights; or
• Fraudulent or unauthorized activity conducted through your account.

24Suspension & termination

Misfit Ministries may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary because of fraud, security concerns, nonpayment, abuse, intellectual-property infringement, unlawful conduct, community disruption, or violation of these Terms. Provisions concerning intellectual property, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability, dispute resolution, and other provisions intended to survive will remain effective after termination.

25Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Before filing a claim, you agree to send a description of the dispute to talktous@misfitministries.com and allow 30 days for a good-faith effort to resolve it informally.

Subject to any nonwaivable consumer rights, legal proceedings arising from these Terms or the website will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Maricopa County, Arizona.

26International users

The website is operated from the United States. Visitors outside the United States are responsible for complying with laws applicable in their location. Nothing in these Terms waives mandatory consumer or privacy protections that cannot legally be waived.

27Changes to these terms

Misfit Ministries may update these Terms as its offerings, technology, operations, or legal obligations evolve. Material changes will become effective when posted or on the later date stated in the updated Terms. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

28General provisions

If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without written permission. Misfit Ministries may transfer its rights and obligations as part of a lawful restructuring, succession, or transfer of operations. These Terms and the policies incorporated by reference constitute the agreement concerning your use of the website, except where separate written terms apply.
