The reason

Because something is wrong and pretending otherwise will not heal it.

Something is not working.

Millions of people are quietly leaving organized religions not because they have lost their hunger for the sacred, but because they can no longer pretend that the ancient boxes can hold the infinite reality of existence.

We have built massive institutions around rules, conformity, political power, and cultural control, while the actual teachings of transformation became secondary. We have prioritized protecting the fence over sharing the light.

This is not a church you have to join.

Most religions begin by drawing a line: believe this, and you’re in. Doubt it, and you’re out. We don’t draw that line.

Any path that is rooted in love and turned toward the greater good has a home here.

We are not here to convert you, correct you, or replace whatever wisdom your own tradition has given you. We’re here for one thing: a deeper understanding of the soul, the spirit, and what you actually are—something no single religion holds a monopoly on.

What you don't have to believe

You do not have to believe Jesus was the Son of God.

The moment “believe he was God” became the price of admission, people stopped doing what he actually taught and started worshipping him instead. The living instruction got traded for a membership requirement. We’re not interested in the requirement. We’re interested in the instruction.

So believe what your own study and spirit lead you to. Hold him as a teacher, a prophet, an awakener, a brother, a myth, a mirror—whatever your honest reflection arrives at. None of that is the price of walking through this door.

In fact, we’d rather you didn’t—not in the way you were taught to.

Not because we think little of him. Because that single belief, made mandatory, is exactly how his message got lost.

Emergence

Because no figure in history has shaped more of it than he has.

You’ll see Yeshua referenced across this ministry more than any other single figure, and there’s a simple reason: for two thousand years, no name has held more influence over the human story. More has been built in his name, fought in his name, and lost in his name than in any other. If you want to understand how spiritual truth gets buried by institutions, his is the clearest case study there has ever been.

But make no mistake: Misfit Ministries is not about Jesus.

It’s about the messages that were lost in his name. It’s about what happened when flawed, powerful men took hold of sacred writing and used it deliberately as an instrument of control. They shaped which words survived and which were cut. They translated for their own ends. They built a system that kept ordinary people small, obedient, and dependent, convinced the divine was somewhere far off and only they could grant access to it.

We look deeper than that. We examine the scripture, the history, and the human hands that did the interpreting and we ask what was true underneath, before the control was layered on top. Jesus is where that story is loudest. He is not the point of it.

Permission to question

Kept in the cocoon when you were built to break free of it.

A caterpillar isn’t meant to stay a caterpillar. Everything in it is designed to dissolve, transform, and emerge as something that flies. But imagine being told your whole life that the cocoon is the destination that staying wrapped, small, and waiting is holiness itself. That is what control disguised as religion does. It convinces you the chrysalis is the whole of your existence, so you never suspect there are wings folded inside you. It keeps you comfortable in confinement and calls the confinement faith.

You were never meant to stay wrapped. You were meant to outgrow it.

Misfit Ministries is for the person who has always sensed there was more—more to the soul, more to the spirit, more to what happens after this life than they were ever handed. We explore the soul, the spirit, and the afterlife openly and without fear. And here is the part most traditions get backwards: the way you honor the next life is by living this one fully awake. This life is not a rehearsal you endure to earn a reward later. How you live, think, and vibrate right now is the very thing shaping what comes next and the next, and the next after that. Focus here. Wake up here. Love here. Release fear here. What you become in this life is what carries forward.

The truth underneath all of it

Remember what you are.

You are a spirit having a physical experience. You are not a physical being having a spiritual one.

The body is temporary. The awareness inside it is not. That is true no matter which name you pray to, or whether you pray at all.
