Inherited answers
You didn’t choose where your search began.

Your birthplace probably determined your first religion. Had you been born somewhere else, you may have been handed a different holy book, a different name for God, different rituals and warned against entirely different beliefs.
A child born in Arizona, India, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Tibet, or rural Africa does not begin life by independently examining every spiritual tradition and selecting the correct one. We inherit our first answers: language, customs, symbols, fears, stories, doctrines. Then we are often told the beliefs we inherited are unquestionably true, and that everyone who inherited something different is unquestionably wrong.
If geography helped determine what we believe, could truth be larger than the religion we were given?
